Materials

We use solid 14k gold, gold filled or sterling silver metal in our pieces unless otherwise stated.

Gold filled is a solid layer of gold mechanically bonded to a base - jeweler's brass. US standards require the gold layer to consist of 5% of the jewelry's total weight. The gold is typically 14k gold but can sometimes be 12k gold depending on the piece.

With gold filled, you get the appearance of solid gold at an attainable price point. Gold filled has a thicker layer of real gold that lasts much longer than vermeil and gold plated pieces. Gold filled jewelry has almost 100x more gold than gold plated jewelry and because the gold is mechanically bonded, it can't rub off and turn your skin green.

Investing in gold filled pieces allow our lovely customers to get more wear out of their pieces as our jewelry lasts longer and will not add to the market of buying cheap jewelry that tarnishes after just a few uses and thus, forcing additional purchases. With proper care, gold filled jewelry can last a lifetime.
